Is Coronavirus a Challenge to Liberal Democracies?

The coronavirus pandemic turned out to be a test on democratic governments’ commitment to liberties and civil rights. During a webinar co-organized together with AJC Paris, experts from the U.S. and Europe discussed whether the political implications created by the Coronavirus crisis could affect the state of democracies around the world. Our guest was Ms. Edit Zgut, a political scientist and visiting lecturer at the Center for Europe at Warsaw University of and expert on Polish and Hungarian politics.
